Repeaters

BARC owns, operates and maintains five different repeaters, three VHF and two UHF repeaters. Two are located right in town in Burlington, VT, on UVM's Redstone campus. Another two are located on top of Mt. Mansfield. And, one VHF repeater is located at the Fleming School in Essex Junction. Both the city of Burlington and Mt. Mansfield are pictured above in our banner.

UVM Redstone Campus Watertower Repeaters - Burlington, VT

VHF - 146.610 - W1KOO "Six-One" - Offset and 100.0Hz PL Tone

The W1KOO 146.01/61 repeater is located on Redstone campus and is a Motorola MTR2000 commercial base station radio configured for repeater operation. A 100 Hz PL tone is required to use it. The power output level is 50W. The controller is an Audio Test Solutions RLC-4. There currently is no emergency power installed.

UHF - 443.150 - W1KOO + Offset and 100.Hz PL Tone

The W1KOO 443/8.15 repeater is a Motorola MTR2000 commercial base station radio configured for repeater operation. A 100 Hz PL tone is required to use it. The power output is 35W. It shares the AudioTest RLC-4 Repeater Controller shown above. There currently is no emergency power installed. More info pending.

Mt Mansfield Repeaters - Stowe, Vermont

VHF - 146.940 - WKOO -Offset and 100.0Hz PL Tone

The W1KOO 146.34/94 repeater on Mt. Mansfield is a Motorola Quantar commercial base station radio configured for repeater operation. The power output is 35W. The controller is a Pacific Research RI-1. A 100 Hz PL tone is required to use it. Emergency power is provided by Vermont Public TV.

UHF - 447.175 - W1IMD - Offset and 110.9Hz PL Tone

The W1IMD 447/2.175 MHz repeater on Mt. Mansfield is a Motorola Quantar commercial base station configured for repeater operation. The power output is 35W. The controller is a Pacific Research RI-300. For Vermont Statewide coverage through the NFMRA UHF network, a PL tone of 110.9 Hz is used for this repeater full time. The link radio is a commercial UHF transceiver that links the W1IMD repeater audio with the Killington NFMRA node. For more information on NFMRA please visit their site here.

VHF - 146.850 - W1CTE - Offset and 100.0Hz PL Tone

The W1CTE 146.85/25 MHz repeater at the Fleming Elementary School in Essex Junction is also a BARC affiliated repeater. This repeater is a General Electric Mastr II putting out 25W. It requires a PL tone of 100 Hz to operate. The controller is an internal card that plugs directly into the Mastr II rack. There currently is no emergency power installed.
